The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks 49-7 in a Class 2A District 5 football game Friday



Freshman quarterback Blake Burgess threw a nine-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Boeck, and Tyler Bryant kicked the mega summit in place of Central Lee’s lone points in the game.

Burgess was 3 in place of 3 superficial in place about 50 yards. All three completions were to Boeck.

Ben Rooney led the Hawks with 47 yards rushing on six carries. Ethan Barnett added 33 yards on 10 carries. Boeck gained 21 yards on 11 carries, and Matthew Vermazen finished with 20 yards rushing on seven carries.


Adrian St. Clair had eight tackles to inform the resistance. Rooney had six tackles and an interception. Gabe Halstead plus had six tackles, while Boeck, Brandon Doyle and wrench Galle all finished five tackles.

Nolan Faslet gained 80 yards and had a touchdown on six carries, and Esau Baylor ran in place about 72 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries to pace Mid-Prairie. Canaan Powell and Austin Slabaugh all had 41 yards and a touchdown on five carries.

Reid Miller was 6 of 10 superficial in place about 83 yards. He threw a 44-yard touchdown pass to Zachary Schwartz.
Schwartz and Austin Errthum all had two receptions.
Miller had seven tackles to inform the resistance. Jacob Adrian added six tackles and a fumble recovery. Devon Young had five tackles and a fumble recovery.

Mid-Prairie, 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the locality, show business on Louisa-Muscatine. Central Lee, 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the locality, hosts Mediapolis Friday.
